Job summary

Atrium Health Cabarrus is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist to assist in invasive Angio and IR procedures. The role covers surgical scrub, patient care during and after procedures, and equipment setup.

Essential functions include fluoroscopic coverage, patient prep, medication/contrast handling, and accurate reporting. ARRT program completion, RTR and BLS are required, with prior IR/Dx experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; ARRT radiologic tech program completed.
• RTR certification and BLS required per policy; interventional experience preferred.
• Experience with diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performs specialized radiography and fluoroscopic coverage of interventional procedures.
• Explain procedures and prep patients for the intervention.
• Obtain medications/contrast as directed for licensed personnel use.
• Circulate during procedures and maintain patient comfort.
• Provide supplies and manage necessary reports and charges.
• Record hemodynamic and contrast media data accurately.
• Enter patient data into the computer system and coordinate film review.
• Report equipment malfunctions to leadership or engineering.
