Job summary

Northwell Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist specialized in Interventional Radiology to support physicians during diagnostic procedures.

Responsibilities include preparing sterile trays, ensuring equipment readiness, monitoring patients during invasive studies, and assisting in catheterization procedures. The role requires NY licensure, ARRT IR registration within 18 months, and BCLS certification, with prior radiologic experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
• New York State licensure as Radiologic Technologist.
• ARRT Registered Technologist (R.T.) required for positions after 2010; IR modality registration within 18 months.
• BCLS certification required.
• Prior radiologic technologist experience required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare unit for interventional radiologic procedures and invasive/non-invasive procedures.
• Prepare sterile trays for invasive procedures and present necessary instrumentation.
• Monitor patient during invasive procedures and adjust contrast injector as needed.
• Admit patient in RIS and PACS systems; ensure sterile prep and draping.
• Assist during catheterization procedures and monitor vitals (BP, chest pain, oxygen).
• Set up angiojet system for declotting and assist in emergencies.
• Operate equipment per safety guidelines and hospital standards.
