Job summary

The University of Miami Department of Interventional Radiology invites applications for a Staff Physician. The position provides medical care through minimally invasive image-guided procedures across diverse clinical sites including Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, UHealth Tower Hospital, Jackson Memorial Hospital, and satellite centers in Broward County and additional centers in Doral.

The successful candidate will interpret imaging studies, participate in development of new techniques,

Qualifications

• Medical degree from an accredited medical school.
• Florida Medical License or equivalent.
• American Board of Radiology Certification.
• Completion of an ACGME-approved Fellowship in Vascular Interventional.

Responsibilities

• Interpret interventional radiology imaging studies and perform interventional procedures.
• Assist in development and implementation of new interventional procedures.
• Evaluate patients pre- and post intervention.
• Supervise performance of technical personnel.
• Evaluate and consult new referrals and follow up patients in IR clinic.
• Exercise quality assurance related to interventional imaging.
• Provide interventional imaging consultation as requested.
• Provide emergency patient care as required in IR practice.
• Be part of the on-call schedule in Interventional Radiology.
• Assume administrative responsibilities as assigned by the Chairman.
