Job summary

University of Miami Department of Interventional Radiology is seeking an Assistant Professor of Clinical to provide patient-centered, image-guided care and to advance clinical research and education across a large, high-volume IR program.

The role emphasizes clinical duties, teaching residents and fellows, and active involvement in expanding outpatient IR clinics across UM/JMH locations in Miami-Dade and Broward counties, with on-call responsibilities as part of the IR service.

Qualifications

• Medical Degree from an accredited Medical School (or foreign equivalent).
• Florida Medical License or equivalent American Board of Radiology Certification.
• Completion of an ACGME approved Fellowship in Vascular Interventional.

Responsibilities

• Interpret interventional radiology imaging studies and perform procedures.
• Assist in development and implementation of new interventional procedures.
• Evaluate patients pre- and post-intervention and expand outpatient IR clinics.
• Supervise technical personnel during procedures and in clinic.
• Evaluate and consult on new referrals and follow up patients in IR clinic.
• Ensure quality assurance in interventional imaging practices.
• Provide interventional imaging consultations as requested.
• Provide emergency patient care as required in IR practice.
• Participate in on-call schedule for Interventional Radiology.
• Take administrative responsibilities as assigned by the Chair.
• Participate in teaching across residency, fellowship, medical student education and CME.
• Serve on Departmental, University of Miami and Jackson Memorial committees.
• Engage in research activities as investigator and mentor.
