Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Medical Procedures Unit/Interventional Radiology in Louisville, KY.

The RN will manage care for patients undergoing endoscopy procedures, assess pre/post-procedure status, educate patients and families, and work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, seamless transitions. Ideal candidates hold a BSN or higher, possess an active US nursing license, and have experience in IR/endoscopy or ICU settings.

Qualifications

• English language proficiency required by VA policy.
• Graduate of an approved nursing program with ACEN/CCNE accreditation or equivalent.
• Nursing licensure in the United States with active status.
• Eligibility for licensure via bridge programs or international programs as described.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care for patients undergoing endoscopy procedures and related care.
• Assess patient status before procedures and educate on peri-procedural care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure safe transitions of care.
• Maintain endoscopy equipment and participate in staffing and scheduling as needed.
