Job summary

The University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY is seeking an experienced RN to join the Interventional Radiology department. You will provide direct patient care for diagnostic and therapeutic neuro and vascular procedures and support a patient-centered nursing plan of care.

The role requires ADN and at least 18 months of RN experience, with preferred critical care expertise. This position includes day, evening, and night shifts and on-call duties, with strong collaboration among the nursing staff

Qualifications

• ADN required
• 18 months RN experience minimum, critical care preferred
• Active Kentucky RN license and AHA BLS certification for Healthcare Provider valid for at least 6 months after employment
• Ability to lift 50-100 pounds daily and stand/walk long periods
• On-call shift and pool level agreement

Responsibilities

• Prepare for and recover patients undergoing neuro and vascular procedures such as thrombectomy, thrombolysis, coiling, stenting, angiogram, and embolization
• Deliver total, continuous, patient-centered care and develop a comprehensive nursing plan of care
• Direct patient care and ensure patient satisfaction
• Train and delegate duties to Nursing Care Technicians
• Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to optimize outcomes
