Job summary

The Interventional Radiology (IR) Registered Nurse (RN) at The-Urology-Group is tasked with assessing patients and developing care plans for those undergoing moderate sedation for procedures. This PRN role supports a dynamic team and requires strong clinical judgment and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities include assisting physicians, monitoring during procedures, IV management, and EMR documentation while upholding HIPAA and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• RN license required; BLS and ACLS.
• Certified Radiology Nurse preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient and procedure room per policies and state/federal regulations.
• Assist physician during IR procedures.
• Complete patient assessment and monitoring for procedures and post-care.
• Conduct patient education before tests and follow-up as needed.
• Start and maintain IV lines.
• Coordinate with health care team to assess and implement care.
• Safely administer moderate sedation/medications per orders.
• Submit prescriptions and refills as directed.
• Assist in onboarding or cross-training of team members.
• Monitor and document symptoms or changes in patients' conditions.
• Prepare rooms, instruments, equipment, and maintain stock.
