Job summary

Openwork Health in Port Charlotte, FL is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse (IR RN) to support patients through minimally invasive procedures. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high‑quality patient care throughout the IR process.

This role emphasizes patient education, precise documentation, and adherence to safety standards while enabling professional growth within a supportive, inclusive workplace.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN license.
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
• Minimum of one year of clinical experience in interventional radiology, critical care, or related acute care setting.
• Strong knowledge of interventional radiology procedures and patient care.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; patient education and advocacy.
• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care before, during, and after interventional radiology procedures; ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Collaborate with interventional radiologists, technologists, and other professionals to facilitate procedures.
• Monitor vital signs and clinical status throughout the IR suite.
• Administer medications, including sedation and pain management per orders.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and post-care needs.
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation per standards.
• Assist with preparation, positioning, and sterile technique.
• Respond promptly to emergencies per protocols.
