Job summary

Carle Health is seeking an experienced RN - Interventional Radiology Nurse to provide nursing care and moderate sedation for IR patients across radiology modalities. You will support Cath Prep and Recovery and coordinate with IR staff to ensure a smooth patient experience.

The role requires ACLS/BLS certifications, an Illinois RN license, and a nursing diploma. You will participate in maintaining equipment, supplies, and patient education, with opportunities to cross train in related cardiac

Qualifications

• ACLS certification within 1 year (AHA)
• BLS certification within 30 days (AHA)
• RN license (IDFPR) – Illinois
• College Diploma: Nursing

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients undergoing radiology procedures with moderate sedation.
• Coordinate with scheduling, pre-procedure testing, staff and physicians for a streamlined patient experience.
• Provide direct patient care as the primary IR nurse and assist in Cath Prep/Recovery.
• Cross-train to provide coverage in Cath Prep, Recovery and other cardiac service areas as needed.
• Monitor equipment, maintain supplies, and ensure quality assurance and patient safety.
