Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System in Olathe seeks an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for Interventional Radiology, Nurse II, PRN and full-time opportunities. You will assess patients, plan and implement individualized care, and work with a multidisciplinary team across imaging technologies to deliver advanced, minimally invasive procedures.

Ideal candidates hold an ADN or higher, with 2+ years of clinical nursing and current BLS/ACLS/PALS credentials; a BSN is preferred or required within

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher.
• ADN nurses hired after 2/24/2017 must complete BSN by five years of employment.
• Two or more years of clinical nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care through assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Coordinate care with health care team to ensure safe, effective and quality patient care.
• Perform moderate and deep sedation under physician direction and monitor recovery per policy.
• Document care thoroughly and follow hospital policies for safe patient care.
• Engage in patient and family teaching and participate in quality improvement activities.
