Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to plan, deliver, and document nursing care in an assigned unit. You will direct nursing staff, monitor patient conditions, and report on treatment responses in line with established standards.

Responsibilities include accurate documentation, collaboration with the care team, and maintaining MetroHealth's mission and patient-centered values. Ohio RN licensure and BLS required; ACLS/PALS/PEARS/NRP preferred with BSN and CNOR advantageous.

Qualifications

• Requires graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing and current RN license in Ohio.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) for the healthcare provider or obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Must have knowledge of nursing theory and practice and related biomedical sciences.
• Ability to maintain positive working relations with staff and clinicians.
• Physical dexterity and coordination required. PRN/Float staff must meet unit-specific competencies.

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, document, and evaluate nursing care per provider orders and standards.
• Direct activities of assigned nursing personnel and coordinate care in area.
• Observe, assess, and report patient condition and response to treatment.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient care and treatment outcomes.
• Uphold MetroHealth System mission, values, and customer service standards.
