Job summary

Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Festus, MO seeks an Interventional Radiology nurse to provide specialized care for patients undergoing IR procedures. Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
• Current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• BLS certification or completion within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS/ALS certification may be required depending on unit.
• Possesses strong assessment and procedural support skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-procedure assessments.
• Educate patients and families.
• Monitor patient status throughout care.
• Assist physicians during vascular and non-vascular procedures.
• Administer medications and moderate sedation.
• Maintain a safe procedural environment and provide post-procedure recovery care.
• Coordinate discharge, admission, or transfer of care.
