Job summary

Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Festus, MO is seeking a dedicated Interventional Radiology RN for full-time daytime coverage. This role provides specialized nursing care before, during, and after IR procedures, including pre-procedure assessments, patient education, and monitoring with physician support.

You will administer medications and moderate sedation, ensure safety in the procedural area, and collaborate on discharge planning and transfers.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program.
• Current RN license in hiring state and/or compact licensure as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care for patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures.
• Conduct pre-procedure assessments and educate patients and families.
• Monitor patient status throughout care and assist physicians during vascular and non-viral procedures.
• Administer medications and moderate sedation as required.
• Maintain a safe procedural environment and provide post-procedure recovery care.
• Coordinate discharge, admission, or transfer of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
