Job summary

Mercy Hospital Jefferson – Interventional Radiology in Festus, Missouri, is seeking an experienced RN to join the team on a full-time days schedule. The nurse will provide specialized peri-procedural care for IR patients, perform pre-procedure assessments, administer medications and sedation, and monitor patients through recovery, coordinating care with the broader team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
• Must maintain current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS/ALS certifications may be required depending on position/unit.

Responsibilities

• Provides specialized nursing care for patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures.
• Conducts pre-procedure assessments and educates patients and families.
• Monitors patient status throughout care and assists physicians during vascular and non-vascular procedures.
• Administers medications and moderate sedation.
• Maintains a safe procedural environment and provides post-procedure recovery care.
• Coordinates discharge, admission, or transfer of care with the interdisciplinary team.
