Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology/Endovascular RN with 3-5 years of Cath Lab experience for a Monday-Friday day shift assignment requiring NJ or compact RN licensure.

The role works in the Radiology-Special Procedures department, taking care of critically ill patients undergoing invasive procedures, with a 9am-5pm schedule and on-call duties. Epic charting and a collaborative team environment are required.

Qualifications

• Active NJ or compact RN license required.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• 3-5 years of Cath Lab experience required.
• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program.
• Ability to administer moderate sedation and read cardiac telemetry arrhythmias.
• Strong knowledge of peripheral venous intervention procedures.
• Excellent communication and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Radiology-Special Procedures department of a hospital setting.
• Care for critically ill medical and surgical patients undergoing invasive procedures under fluoroscopy and general X-ray.
• Assist with invasive procedures in Interventional Radiology, Endovascular Surgery, and Neurosurgical intervention.
• Schedule is Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm, 37.5 hours per week.
• No weekend requirement.
• On-call required.
• Float as needed, including to a sister hospital.
• Uses Epic for charting.
• Utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate the plan of care for patients undergoing invasive procedures.
• Employ aseptic techniques per AORN guidelines.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team through a shared governance model to promote evidence-based, patient-centered care.
• Function within an integrated Health Care System providing professional critical care nursing.
