Qualifications

• Age-specific training and mandatory yearly in-service including BLS and safety training.
• Maintains continuing education and adheres to unit governance and dress code.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process for an assigned group of patients per shift.
• Prioritize delivery of care efficiently within a standards-based framework and document actions and patient responses.
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document patient needs and progress.
• Coordinate care with patients, families, and the healthcare team and document data.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and document per policy.
• Support patient education and discharge planning throughout the episode of care.
• Demonstrate leadership and mentor other staff as needed and orient new team members.
