Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Typically requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
• Active registered nurse (RN) license with multi-state or single-state privileges.
• BLS certification required; additional education or certifications may be needed based on specialty.
• Willingness to float to other units within the service area as needed.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance and quality initiatives to improve care processes.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans and resources with the team.
• Maintains patient safety and adheres to the ANA Code of Ethics.
• Delivers medications and therapies safely per protocols as required.
• Maintains accurate EHR documentation and efficient communication with care teams.
• May float to other units to meet patient care needs.
