Job summary

Duke University Health System seeks an experienced Clinical Nurse (RN) to join the Arringdon Interventional Radiology team in Morrisville, NC. The role focuses on delivering high-quality nursing care for low- to moderate-risk IR procedures.

Two 8-hour shifts per week with no holidays, weekends, or on-call. Orientation in Vascular Interventional Radiology may be required. Strong communication and teamwork are essential in this patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ year work experience as a clinical nurse is preferred; CN2 requires at least 1 year RN experience.
• Graduation from an accredited Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (or higher), Associate's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program is required. If lacking BSN, enlist in BSN within two years and complete within five years.
• Current NC RN license or current compact RN license to practice in NC; ACLS certification required; professional specialty certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide and supervise direct and indirect total nursing care in the IR setting.
• Use the nursing process (assess, plan, implement, evaluate) to achieve nursing department goals.
• Provide pre- and post-procedural nursing care, including sedation/monitoring for IR procedures.
• Participate in clinical ladder, education, and departmental committees; uphold applicable regulations and standards.
