Job summary

NIH is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract in Bethesda, MD. The role features a Monday–Friday schedule, 40 hours per week, and a 7:00 AM–5:30 PM shift with 24-hour on-call on weekends and holidays.

Required are a Nursing degree (BSN or ASN), current BLS/ACLS/PALS, and an active U.S. nursing license with at least two years in Interventional Radiology.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Associate degree in Nursing.
• Minimum of two years’ hospital experience in Interventional Radiology.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• Current ACLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• Current PALS certification (AHA/ARC).
• Valid nursing license in at least one U.S. state.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care in Interventional Radiology at NIH.
• Coordinate patient care on a 13-week assignment with Monday–Friday schedule.
• Be available for 24-hour on-call weekends, holidays, and weekdays.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse to provide specialized nursing care at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). This 13-week contract offers a consistent Monday–Friday schedule and is well suited for an RN with current Interventional Radiology experience.

• Location: National Institutes of Health (NIH)
• Schedule: Monday–Friday
• Hours: 40 hours per week

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited university; or

Experience

• Minimum of two years of current hospital experience in Interventional Radiology

Certifications

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
• Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)

Licensure

• Valid nursing license in at least one U.S. state, territory, or commonwealth
