Job summary

Paycom is seeking a Radiology Procedure RN to provide nursing care for outpatients undergoing interventional radiology procedures. You will assess, monitor, and recover patients before and after procedures, administer medications, and collaborate with radiology staff to ensure safe, high-quality care.

Responsibilities include pre-procedure assessments, informed consent verification, education, and post-procedure discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN).
• Current NYS RN license in good standing.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred or within specified timeframe.
• Experience in interventional radiology or procedural nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for interventional radiology patients.
• Performs pre-procedure assessments including history, labs, allergies, and consent verification.
• Prepares patients and educates, addressing patient and family concerns.
• Administers medications including moderate sedation and contrast agents per orders.
• Monitors vital signs and patient responses during intra- and post-procedure.
• Provides post-procedure recovery care and discharge instructions.
• Documents nursing assessments and interventions in the EMR.
• Participates in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
• Communicates with radiologists, APPs, technologists, and the care team; ensures handoffs.
