Job summary

University of Utah Health Huntsman Cancer Hospital in Salt Lake City seeks a registered nurse specialized in Interventional Radiology. You will assess, plan, and care for patients undergoing image-guided procedures, coordinate prep and post-procedure recovery, and support anesthesia teams and radiology staff.

This role requires a Utah RN license, IR experience preferred, and rotation across shifts including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in Utah.
• Current RQI Healthcare Provider credential.
• Current RQI Healthcare Provider ALS credential.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive patient assessments and independently manages routine radiology cases across imaging and IR settings.
• Coordinates patient preparation and recovery workflows, including IV access, medication administration, and post-procedure monitoring.
• Administers and monitors moderate sedation; identifies and manages expected responses and complications within established protocols.
• Provides patient and family education regarding procedures, sedation, recovery, and discharge instructions.
• Collaborates with anesthesia, physicians, and technologists to support efficient and safe care delivery.
• Maintains accurate documentation and adheres to safety, regulatory, and radiology-specific standards.
