Job summary

Holy Cross Health in Silver Spring, MD is seeking a part-time Interventional Procedure Nurse to join the Medical Imaging/Radiology Department. You will work in a collaborative interdisciplinary team delivering evidence-based, individualized patient care.

This role requires RN licensure in Maryland or compact state, ADN or BSN, BLS, and IR experience; rotating/PRN shifts; strong communication and documentation skills, with opportunities for professional growth within our mission-driven health

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program ADN required; BSN preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nursing or Compact State.
• BLS certification AHA (American Heart Association); additional Life Support training as applicable to unit requirements preferred.
• Minimum 1years of RN experience in IR.

Responsibilities

• Using Quality Caring Model, demonstrates acceptable performance, and applies nursing process, to plan and manage care of routine patients, including patient and family education, and continuum of care planning.
• Effectively communicates fundamental patient/family information to health care team.
• Oversee patient care for individuals visiting the Interventional Radiology Department.
• Ensure that critical or high-risk patients receive continuous attention from qualified nursing or technical staff.
• Accurately document patient care and assessment data, including vital signs, patient status, treatments, education provided, assessment data, and administration and effectiveness of medication and IV therapy, on the appropriate nursing records.
• Educate patients and their families about procedures, treatments, and post-care instructions.
