MedStar Health is seeking an experienced Supervisor of Imaging in Interventional Radiology for St. Mary’s Hospital in Southern Maryland. The role requires prior IR technologist experience and leadership to guide clinical staff, manage workflows, and ensure high-quality imaging and patient care.

The supervisor will oversee RIS/PACS operations, collaborate with departments, and champion safety, compliance, and performance improvement initiatives within a mission-driven health system.

Competenze

• Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3–4 years of clinical imaging experience with leadership experience preferred.
• ARRT certification in Radiography and related modalities; Maryland state licensure; BLS certification required on hire.

Mansioni

• Adheres to modality policies and ensures safety, quality control, and inventory.
• Leads clinical staff and maintains productive workflow; coordinates patient care with other departments.
• Plans and evaluates budgets, scheduling, equipment planning, and educational activities.
• Hires, trains and evaluates staff; mentors and orients personnel in procedures and systems.
• Resolves clinical and non-clinical issues; escalates to leadership when needed; ensures documentation and process improvements.
• Leads performance improvement initiatives to enhance workflows, patient experience, quality and safety.
• Oversees image accuracy in RIS and PACS, with documentation in EMR and related systems; troubleshoots transmission issues.
• Partners with vendors to evaluate products and provide staff education.
