Job summary

Corewell Health Wayne Hospital in Michigan is seeking a Special Procedure Tech to support patients undergoing Heart and/or Vascular procedures. This full-time role requires an associate degree in cardiovascular technology and clinical experience.

You will assist physicians, perform IV starts, monitor hemodynamics, and ensure patient/family education. Eligible candidates may have related certifications and prior cath lab exposure.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in cardiovascular technology/basic science, Paramedic license, Exercise Physiologist, or equivalent training and/or education required.
• Interventional Radiology requires completion of an accredited radiography program (JRCERT).
• Cath Lab/EP Lab requires employee to be a graduate of Cardiovascular Technologist program.
• Clinical experience required through graduation of one of the above listed programs.
• 1 year of experience in EP, Cath Lab or IR is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care pre-, intra-, and post-operatively for patients undergoing Heart and/or Vascular procedures to assist physicians and deliver quality patient/family-centered care.
• Assist physicians and deliver patient/family-centered care.
• Perform IV starts and prep patients.
• Monitor hemodynamics and operate equipment.
• Document procedures and manage vascular access sites.
• Provide patient/family education.
