Job summary

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC is recruiting Interventional Radiologists to provide onsite services at the Audie L. Murphy VA Medical Center in San Antonio, TX. Shifts are generally Mon-Fri, 7am-4:00pm.

Both full-time and Locum Tenens options with generous compensation are available, onsite at a VA facility. The role entails performing a broad range of IR procedures, direct patient care, case reviews, treatment planning, and on-call coverage.

Qualifications

• Board-certified in Interventional Radiology.
• Active, full, and unrestricted medical license in the U.S.
• NPI number available.
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Active DEA license.
• Able to pass a federal background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Perform a full range of Interventional Radiology procedures, including vascular interventions, biopsies, drain placements, angiography, thrombectomy and embolization.
• Provide direct patient care (about 90% of work time).
• Review consults, orders, and next-day patient cases for at least two hours daily.
• Determine treatment plans and communicate recommendations to referring providers.
• Perform post-procedure evaluations, follow-up care and complication management.
• Provide discharge instructions and patient education.
• Ensure test results are communicated per VA policy.
• Document all care in the VA EHR.
• Participate in on-call coverage after business hours.
• Respond to phone consultations within 15 minutes.
• Arrive onsite within 60 minutes when called back for urgent needs.

Murphy VA Medical Center located at 7400 Merton Minter Blvd, San Antonio, TX 78229. Shift scheduling is generally Mon-Fri, 7am-4:00pm. Full-time and Locum Tenens positions with generous compensation packages are available. Responsibilities

• Perform a full range of Interventional Radiology procedures, including vascular interventions, biopsies, drain placements, angiography, thrombectomy procedures, embolization procedures, dialysis access procedures, catheter placements, nephrostomy procedures, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and other image-guided procedures.
• Provide direct patient care, accounting for approximately 90% of work time.
• Review consults, orders, and next-day patient cases for a minimum of two hours daily.
• Determine appropriate treatment plans and communicate recommendations to referring providers.
• Perform post-procedure evaluations, follow-up care, and complication management.
• Provide discharge instructions and patient education.
• Ensure communication of test results in accordance with VA policy.
• Document all care within the VA electronic health record.
• Participate in on-call coverage during non-business hours.
• Respond to phone consultation requests within 15 minutes.
• Arrive onsite within 60 minutes when called back for urgent clinical needs

Qualifications

• Board Certified in Interventional Radiology.
• Active, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia
• NPI report printout
• Must maintain active AHA BLS and ACLS
• Active DEA license
• Must be able to pass a federal background investigation

Physical Requirements

• Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
• Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
• Lift up to 20 lbs
• Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
• Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
