Job summary

The Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System is seeking a qualified Interventional Radiologist for the Imaging Service. The incumbent will work independently within the service and supervise Radiology residents, performing a broad range of IR procedures and diagnostic imaging interpretations as part of a comprehensive VA healthcare team.

Experience in embolization and advanced pain management is valued; board certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Citizenship: United States citizen (or eligible for VA appointment).
• Current, full and unrestricted medical license in the United States.
• Residency training in an approved core specialty leading to eligibility for board certification.
• Preference for formal Interventional Radiology fellowship or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise teaching of Radiology residents within Imaging Service.
• Perform standard IR procedures including drainage, biopsies, vascular access and locoregional treatments.
• Possess embolization experience and pain management skills; neurovascular training valued.
• Interpret diagnostic imaging (CT, MRI, US) across brain, spine, neck, body and extremities.
• Work with VistA and VA medical systems; document findings and communicate life-threatening results promptly.
