Job summary

Veterans Health Administration is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiologist to lead IR procedures and patient care within a 24/7 hospital setting. The role emphasizes two-way coordination with the IR team, radiology services, and other clinical departments in a busy VA medical center.

The physician will perform advanced imaging-guided interventions, ensure high-quality patient management, and participate in education and quality initiatives in a comprehensive VA environment.

Qualifications

• United States citizenship or eligible to work in the U.S. per VA policy.
• Doctor of medicine or equivalent degree from an approved school.
• Current full and unrestricted medical license in a U.S. state or territory.
• Residency training approved by VA/ACGME/AOA in an accredited core specialty.
• If applicable, board certification or eligibility.
• Eligible to perform duties with appropriate professional qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide interventional radiology care, including review of orders, pre-procedure prep, and post-procedure documentation.
• Perform a wide range of IR procedures such as TACE, microwave ablations, cryoablation, catheter placements, and angiography.
• Coordinate care within IR team and with other departments; participate in education and quality assurance.
