Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in Oklahoma City seeks an Interventional Radiologist to provide expert procedural care across vascular and non-vascular interventions. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm, with teaching opportunities in the Imaging Service.

The role includes overseeing imaging procedures, coordinating pre- and post-procedure care, and participating in safety/quality initiatives, with strong federal benefits and EDRP eligibility.

Qualifications

• US citizenship or eligible non-citizen per VA policy
• Degree of doctor of medicine or equivalent (MD/DO) from an approved school
• Current full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a US state/DC
• Residency training approved by VA/ACGME or AOA leading to board eligibility
• Board certification eligibility or certification for faculty status as applicable
• Proficiency in spoken and written English
• Physical requirements and drug testing eligibility as described by VA policy

Responsibilities

• Oversee interventional radiology procedures including angiography and embolization
• Interpret imaging studies and generate comprehensive reports
• Provide patient education on procedures, risks and alternatives
• Coordinate pre- and post-procedure care with clinical teams
• Participate in safety reviews and quality improvement initiatives
• Support teaching of trainees and academic affiliations

Education

MD/DO (Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine)
