Qualifications

Summary:

The Interventional Radiologic Technologist operates digital equipment and performs complex invasive procedures by positioning patients and preparing contrast media to assist physicians in diagnosis and treatment. Requires comprehensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Works with contrast media, chemotherapy agents, radiation agents, cements, resins, and embolization agents. May perform procedures in other departments such as the OR or Cath lab across multiple imaging modalities. This is a clinical position 100%. May require mandatory call as needed.

Qualifications

• Licensure / Certification / Registration: State of Connecticut Radiographer license, ARRT certification in Radiography, Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Education: Graduate from an accredited Radiography program.
• Experience: At least 1 year as a Radiologic Technologist required; 1-2 years IR experience preferred.
