Job Summary

The Interventional Radiologic Technologist operates digital equipment and performs complex invasive procedures, including positioning patients and preparing contrast media to assist physicians in diagnosis and treatment. Knowledge of anatomy and physiology is essential. The role involves working with contrast media, chemotherapy agents, radiations agents, cements, resins, and embolization agents. The position may require performing procedures in other departments such as the O.R. and Cath lab across multiple imaging modalities. This is a clinical 100% position and may require mandatory call as needed.

Qualifications

• State of Connecticut Radiographer license
• ARRT certification in Radiography required
• Basic Life Support (BLS)

Education & Experience

Graduate from an accredited Radiography program with at least 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist. 1-2 years of IR experience preferred.
