Job description

Interventional Radiologic Technologist PER DIEM

Join to apply for the Interventional Radiologic Technologist PER DIEM role at Advocate Health.

**Responsibilities:**

1. Perform basic and intermediate interventional radiologic procedures, including biopsy, para/thoracentesis, abscess drainages, peripheral vascular stenting, catheter placement, thrombolytic therapy, and embolization.
2. Act as a scrub assistant on interventional and surgical procedures, under physician guidance.
3. Monitor patients, recognize life-threatening changes, and respond with emergency procedures such as defibrillation and CPR.
4. Ensure diagnostic quality of images, assist in evaluating digital equipment, and process images correctly.
5. Verify requisitions against physician orders for accuracy.
6. Post-process, label, and document images and procedures accurately.
7. Maintain records per regulatory standards and enter data into the radiology information system.
8. Assist with patient positioning and transportation, utilizing proper techniques.

**Schedule & Certifications:**

• Scheduled hours include call rotation on weeknights and weekends.
• Licenses & Certifications: Radiographer license (WI), ARRT registration, BLS, and ACLS (within 6 months, if required).
