Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Radiography program.
• State of Connecticut Radiographer license.
• ARRT certification in Radiography required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS).

Responsibilities

• Operate digital equipment and perform complex neuro and interventional procedures by positioning patients and preparing contrast media.
• Assist physicians in diagnosis and treatment, applying thorough knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
• Work with chemotherapy agents, cements and embolization agents as part of neuroendovascular care.
• Position for 100% clinical procedures and be available for mandatory call when needed.

Education

Graduate from an accredited Radiography program

State of Connecticut Radiographer license

Summary

The Interventional Radiologic Technologist operates digital equipment and performs complex neuro and interventional invasive procedures by positioning patients and preparing contrast media for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. They assist the physician in diagnosis and treatment of patients. Comprehensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology is required. They work with chemotherapy agents, cements, and embolization agents. This position is 100% clinical and may require mandatory call as needed.
