St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport, CT, part of Hartford HealthCare, is hiring an Interventional Radiologic Technologist for a per diem role with rotating day, on-call evening and weekend hours.

You will operate imaging equipment, assist in complex Neuro and Interventional procedures, and work under guidance to support a state-of-the-art Neuroendovascular suite. Connecticut licensure, ARRT, and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Radiography program.
• State of Connecticut Radiographer license.
• ARRT certification in Radiography required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Operate digital equipment for Neuro and Interventional procedures.
• Position patients and prepare contrast media for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Assist physicians in diagnosis and treatment; handle neuro endovascular cases.

Summary

The Interventional Radiologic Technologist operates digital equipment and performs complex Neuro and Interventional invasive procedures by positioning patients and preparing contrast media for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Assists the physician in diagnosis and treatment of patients. Comprehensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Works with chemotherapy agents, cements, and embolization agents. This position is 100% clinical and may require mandatory call as needed.
