Job summary

Oklahoma State University Medical Center in Tulsa, OK seeks a Radiologic Technologist for interventional radiology. The ideal candidate is a graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program and registered or registry-eligible with ARRT.

ARRT certification must be completed within 1 year of hire; advanced IR certification is preferred. The role requires producing high-quality radiographs and assisting radiologists in invasive and non-invasive procedures daily.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology.
  • Registered, or registry eligible, with ARRT.
  • ARRT certification required within 1 year from hire.
  • Advanced certification in Interventional Radiology is preferred.
  • 2-year/Associate's Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operate routine radiographic and interventional radiology equipment safely and proficiently.
  • Produce high-quality radiographs and assist radiologist with invasive and non-invasive procedures daily.
  • Assist as a scrub tech during invasive procedures.
  • Communicate with physicians, patients, families, and hospital personnel.
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives.
  • On-call 24 hours, with a return time of 30 minutes or less.

Under the direction of the Interventional Radiology Clinical Coordinator, this individual must be able to operate all routine radiographic and interventional radiology equipment in a safe and proficient manner. This person must be a graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology and registered, or be registry eligible, with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. ARRT certification, if not held at the time of hire, is required within 1 year from the date of hire. Advanced certification in Interventional Radiology is preferred.

Job Description Under the direction of the Interventional Radiology Clinical Coordinator, this individual must be able to operate all routine radiographic and interventional radiology equipment in a safe and proficient manner. This person must be a graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology and registered, or be registry eligible, with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. The incumbent must be able to produce high-quality radiographs and assist the radiologist with all different types of invasive and non-invasive procedures daily. Must be able to assist as a scrub tech during invasive procedures. Must be able to communicate with physicians, patients, families, and hospital personnel. Will participate in performance improvement initiatives. Will assist with other activities as deemed necessary for the day-to-day operation of the department. This position requires 24 24-hour mandatory On-Call, also requiring a return time of 30 minutes or less to the hospital.
