Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital in Doraville, GA is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic and interventional procedures, assist with post-processing, and follow established imaging protocols across age groups.

You will maintain radiation safety, provide patient education, and ensure quality care. Required ARDMS or ARRT registration and BCLS certification; AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT training; no prior experience required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or a JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures across adolescent to geriatric patients.
• Adheres to established imaging protocols and records patient data accurately.
• Maintains competencies for all related components and ensures radiation safety.

Responsibilities:

Performs diagnostic and interventional procedures to include but not limited to: angiography, venography, myelography, nephro-ureteral, and gastrointestinal studies, and modality assisted drainage and biopsies. Completes all post processing functions. Performs related record keeping and patient care functions. Ensures the utilization of established protocols and techniques differentiating for adolescent, adult and geriatric patient population in the performance of diagnostic procedures and functions.

• Demonstrates competence and proficiency in performing all interventional radiology procedures on patients of all age groups. Positions patient, selects the correct protocol, and utilizes all required equipment.
• Maintains competencies for all related components.
• Accurately follows all established imaging protocols for exam being performed.
• Provides quality age specific care in accordance with prescribed standards and practices.
• Adhere to the Radiation Safety Policies and the principles of a viable dose reduction program.
• Provides patient education and communications in accordance with prescribed standards.
• Must be competent and proficient to position, select correct protocol and utilize imaging equipment on patients of all age groups for radiological exams, when requested.
