Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a Radiologic Technologist specialized in Interventional Radiology. You will perform diagnostic and interventional procedures, position patients, select imaging protocols, and ensure safety and quality standards.

The role requires graduation from an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program, ARDMS or ARRT registration upon hire, and BCLS certification. No prior experience is required and a supportive environment promotes growth.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures with correct patient positioning and protocol selection.

• Provide patient education and care in alignment with safety standards.
• Ensure radiation safety and dose reduction principles are followed.
• Complete post-processing and related documentation accurately.

Responsibilities:

Performs diagnostic and interventional procedures to include but not limited to: angiography, venography, myelography, nephro-ureteral, and gastrointestinal studies, and modality assisted drainage and biopsies. Completes all post processing functions. Performs related record keeping and patient care functions. Ensures the utilization of established protocols and techniques differentiating for adolescent, adult and geriatric patient population in the performance of diagnostic procedures and functions.

• Demonstrates competence and proficiency in performing all interventional radiology procedures on patients of all age groups. Positions patient, selects the correct protocol, and utilizes all required equipment.
• Maintains competencies for all related components.
• Accurately follows all established imaging protocols for exam being performed.
• Provides quality age specific care in accordance with prescribed standards and practices.
• Adhere to the Radiation Safety Policies and the principles of a viable dose reduction program.
• Provides patient education and communications in accordance with prescribed standards.
• Must be competent and proficient to position, select correct protocol and utilize imaging equipment on patients of all age groups for radiological exams, when requested.
