Job summary

UC San Diego Health is seeking an RN to serve as an ECT Coordinator, supporting the safe, efficient operation of the ECT program across UCSD sites. You will coordinate complex patient scheduling, track required clearances, and facilitate education and treatment preparation.

Under supervision of psychiatrists and clinic leadership, you will manage in-basket messages, triage symptom escalations, monitor medications, and support interventional treatments such as ECT, Spravato, and TMS, while

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• California RN license required.
• BART or BLS certification at hire, with commitment to obtain within 6 months.
• 1–2 years psychiatric RN experience in ambulatory or inpatient settings.
• Experience with care coordination for complex behavioral health/medical needs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate complex patient scheduling for the ECT program across multiple UCSD Health sites.
• Track required medical clearances and specialty referrals.
• Facilitate patient education and treatment preparation.
• Monitor consent completion and liaise between patients, providers and teams.
• Provide crisis intervention and support safe medication practices.
• Travel between UC San Diego Health sites as required.
