Job summary

Headlight.Health is seeking an Interventional Psychiatry Technician to provide clinical admin and patient support in our outpatient esketamine program at our San Diego clinic. You will coordinate care, educate patients, and ensure a welcoming environment throughout treatment.

The role emphasizes teamwork with physicians, nurses, and support staff, maintaining accurate records in the EHR and ensuring sessions start on time. A strong patient-centered approach is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two or more years of healthcare, behavioral health, mental health, or patient-care experience.
• Current BLS, First Aid, CPR, and AED certification, or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Medical Assistant, CNA, Medication Technician, or comparable healthcare training or certification preferred.
• Experience with psychiatric or behavioral health settings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms and equipment for esketamine and TMS appointments; ensure supplies are available.
• Welcome patients; review treatment-day expectations and provide education.
• Support patients during treatment by following clinical protocols and communicating concerns to providers.
• Document treatment activities, patient observations, and follow-up needs in the EHR.
• Serve as a consistent contact for patients; address non-clinical questions and attendance barriers.
• Coordinate appointments, reminders, transportation, and other logistics to support treatment adherence.
• Collaborate with prescribing providers, pharmacies, and care teams on updates and progress.
• Order prescribed medications, monitor shipments, and manage inventory and REMS compliance.
