Endeavor Health is hiring an Interventional Procedures Assistant in Naperville, IL. The role supports the IR team by preparing equipment, assisting during procedures, and aiding in vascular access and drain placement. On-call rotation includes weekends, with a 7:30 am start on weekdays.

Educational requirements include a High School Diploma or GED and BLS Certification. The position emphasizes teamwork, communication, and safety in an acute care setting.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Certification: BLS Certification required.
• Experience: Looking for applicants seeking knowledge and skill development in an acute care setting; ideal for students in Nursing or Allied Health fields.

Responsibilities

• Performs a combination of tasks/skills pre, during, and after the IR procedure to assist the procedural team (physicians, registered nurses and radiologic technologists).
• Prepares sterile and nonsterile equipment, catheters, and technology used pre, intra, and post procedure.
• Acts as a scrub assistant aiding the physician and Radiology Technologist in circulating the procedure, setting up equipment, obtaining equipment, opening products as needed and placing on the sterile table.
• Assists physician in obtaining vascular access (femoral, radial, brachial, jugular, peripheral, and transseptal), central venous line placement, and drain placement.
• Responsible for supply management and restocking of supplies.
• The job demands are medium; high energy level; ability to lift/carry 40-50 lbs and push/pull 150-200 lbs.
