MaineHealth Franklin Hospital in Farmington, ME, seeks a BC/BE Physiatrist with interventional pain experience to join our Pain Care Clinic. You will diagnose and manage chronic pain, perform interventional procedures, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to tailor comprehensive plans for each patient.

The role offers a 40-hour work week in a fully integrated system with Epic EMR, robust benefits, and opportunities for professional growth within MaineHealth.

Qualifications

• MD/DO from an accredited medical school.
• Active Maine medical license (or ability to obtain).
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R).
• Fellowship training in interventional pain management.
• Active and unrestricted DEA license (or ability to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Assess and diagnose chronic pain conditions.
• Perform interventional pain procedures (epidural steroid injections, nerve blocks, joint injections, RF ablations).
• Develop integrated treatment plans including medications, rehab, and psychotherapy support.
• Collaborate with physical therapists, psychologists, and anesthesiologists.
• Maintain patient records and progress notes.
• Stay current with interventional pain management advances.
• Educate patients on pain conditions, options, and self-management.
• Comply with HIPAA and safety standards.
