Job summary

MaineHealth Franklin Hospital is seeking a BC/BE Anesthesia/Pain Management physician to join our multidisciplinary pain management team in our Pain Care Clinic in Farmington, Maine. The ideal candidate will diagnose and treat chronic pain conditions with interventional procedures and collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to craft comprehensive pain management plans.

The role operates in a full-time Pain Clinic schedule (40 hours per week) with a base salary noted as $425,000

Qualifications

• MD/DO from an accredited medical school.
• Active Maine medical license or ability to obtain prior to employment.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology.
• Active and unrestricted DEA license or ability to obtain prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Assess and diagnose chronic pain conditions.
• Perform interventional pain management procedures (epidural injections, nerve blocks, joint injections, radiofrequency ablations).
• Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating interventional and non-interventional approaches.
• Collaborate with physical therapists, psychologists, and anesthesiologists to create a holistic pain management approach.
• Monitor and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress and evolving needs.
• Stay current with advancements in interventional pain management techniques and technologies.
• Provide education and counseling to patients regarding pain conditions and treatment options.
• Maintain accurate patient records, including documentation of procedures and progress notes.
• Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and maintain high standards of patient care and safety.
