Job summary

MaineHealth Franklin Hospital in Farmington, Maine, seeks a BC/BE Anesthesia/Pain Management physician to join our Pain Care Clinic. Full-time, 40 hours weekly, delivering interventional and non-interventional pain care and coordinating with a multidisciplinary team.

The role emphasizes comprehensive pain management, education, and ongoing professional development within a hospital-employed setting.

Qualifications

• MD/DO from an accredited medical school and board certification in Anesthesiology.
• Active and unrestricted Maine medical license or ability to obtain prior to employment.
• Active and unrestricted DEA license or ability to obtain prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Assess and diagnose chronic pain conditions and implement interventional plans.
• Perform interventional procedures such as epidural injections, nerve blocks, and ablations.
• Develop comprehensive treatment plans including medical and non-interventional approaches.
• Collaborate with Physical Therapy, Psychology, and Anesthesiology teams to optimize care.
• Educate patients on treatment options and self-management strategies.
• Maintain accurate records and participate in continued education.
