Job summary

MaineHealth Franklin Hospital in Farmington, Maine, seeks a BC/BE Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation physician with interventional pain expertise to join our Pain Care Clinic. The role involves diagnosing chronic pain, performing interventional procedures, and developing comprehensive treatment plans in a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• MD/DO from an accredited medical school.
• Active Maine medical license (or ability to obtain prior to employment).
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation - Physiatry.
• Fellowship training in interventional pain management techniques.
• Active and unrestricted DEA license (or ability to obtain prior to employment).

Responsibilities

• Assess and diagnose patients with chronic pain conditions.
• Perform interventional pain procedures such as epidural injections, nerve blocks, joint injections, radiofrequency ablations.
• Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating interventional and non-interventional approaches.
• Collaborate with physical therapists, psychologists, and anesthesiologists to create holistic pain management.
• Monitor and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress.
• Stay current with advancements in interventional pain management techniques.
• Educate patients regarding pain conditions, options, and self-management strategies.
• Maintain accurate patient records including procedures, progress notes, and plans.
• Participate in continuing education and regulatory compliance.

Education
