Job summary

MaineHealth Franklin Hospital in Farmington, Maine, is seeking a BC/BE Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation physician specializing in Pain Management to join our multidisciplinary Pain Care Clinic. The Interventional Pain physician will diagnose and treat chronic pain using interventional procedures and collaborate with a team to tailor comprehensive pain management plans.

Qualifications

• MD/DO from an accredited medical school.
• Active and unrestricted Maine medical license (or ability to obtain prior to employment).
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation - Physiatry.
• Fellowship training in interventional pain management techniques.
• Active and unrestricted DEA license (or ability to obtain prior to employment).

Responsibilities

• Assess and diagnose chronic pain conditions (musculoskeletal, neuropathic, and other pain syndromes).
• Perform interventional pain management procedures (epidural steroid injections, nerve blocks, joint injections, radiofrequency ablations).
• Develop individualized treatment plans including interventional and non-interventional approaches.
• Collaborate with physical therapists, psychologists, and anesthesiologists to create a holistic plan.
• Monitor and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress.
• Stay current with advancements in interventional pain management techniques.
• Educate patients about pain conditions, options, and self-management.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Participate in continuing education and professional development.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and patient safety standards.
