Job summary

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist’s Interventional Pain Management Center in Winston-Salem, NC seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our outpatient team. The role emphasizes multimodal, non-opioid pain management with a collaborative physician-APP approach.

The position offers a 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. schedule, generous PTO, CME support, relocation assistance, and opportunities for professional development within a thriving care system.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and ability to educate patients.
• Familiarity with neurology, neurosurgery, spine medicine, orthopedics, and general medicine.

Responsibilities

• Develop individualized patient care plans using shared decision making.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with chronic and complex pain conditions.
• Collaborate with physicians, APPs, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team.
• Order and interpret laboratory studies and diagnostic procedures.
• Educate patients regarding procedures, preparation, and anticipated outcomes.
• Perform procedural skills per departmental guidelines and credentialing.
• Participate in follow-up care for surgical and interventional procedures.
• Precept students and medical learners as appropriate.
• Uphold the mission and values of Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist.
• Adhere to regulatory licensing and credentialing requirements.
