Surgery Partners, Inc. in Brandon/Tampa Bay, Florida, seeks a skilled Interventional Pain Management Physician for a full-time outpatient practice. No hospital rounding or call, with shared after-hours telephone coverage about every 4–6 weeks.

Qualifications

• MD/DO from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an accredited Pain Medicine fellowship.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pain Medicine through Anesthesiology or PM&R.
• Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in Florida.
• Experience performing interventional pain procedures.
• Experience with neuromodulation and implantable therapies preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with acute and chronic pain conditions.
• Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans focused on improving function and quality of life.
• Perform a broad range of interventional pain procedures, including epidural steroid injections, facet injections, medial branch blocks, radiofrequency ablation, and nerve blocks.
• Assess and manage patients who may benefit from advanced therapies (SCS, DRG, PNS, intrathecal drug delivery).
• Collaborate with primary care physicians, specialists, therapists, and the care team.
• Educate patients regarding diagnoses, treatment options, expectations, and long-term pain management.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation in the EMR and stay current with advances.

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Interventional Pain Management Physician to join our established and growing outpatient practice in the Brandon/Tampa Bay area.

Schedule

• Full-time, Monday–Friday
• Outpatient practice setting/Ambulatory Surgery Center
• No hospital rounding or hospital call
• Shared after-hours telephone call approximately once every 4–6 weeks
• Strong clinical and administrative support

What You'll Do

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with acute and chronic pain conditions.
• Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans focused on improving function and quality of life.
• Perform a broad range of interventional pain procedures, including:
• Epidural steroid injections
• Facet injections
• Medial branch blocks
• Radiofrequency ablation
• Peripheral nerve blocks
• Evaluate and manage patients who may benefit from advanced therapies, including:
  • Spinal Cord Stimulation (SCS)
  • Dorsal Root Ganglion (DRG) stimulation
  • Peripheral Nerve Stimulation (PNS)
  • Intrathecal Drug Delivery Systems
• Collaborate with primary care physicians, specialists, therapists, and other members of the care team.
• Educate patients regarding diagnoses, treatment options, expectations, and long-term pain management strategies.
• Maintain timely, accurate, and clinically appropriate documentation in the electronic medical record.
• Remain current with advances in interventional pain medicine and participate in continuing medical education.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school or foreign equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Pain Medicine fellowship.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pain Medicine through:
  • Anesthesiology, or
  • Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R)
• Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in the State of Florida.
• Experience performing interventional pain procedures.
• Experience with neuromodulation and implantable therapies preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
