Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking an Interventional GI Lab Technician to assist the physician and provide direct patient care across adolescent to geriatric populations in a high-acuity GI lab setting.

The role supports complex interventional cases and contributes to department operations, including scheduling and MD preference card management, while ensuring availability of necessary supplies and equipment. BLS certification is required, and color vision screening applies by unit.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent or post-secondary education.
• SGNA Advanced Associates Program Certificate for GI Techs.
• One (1) year of experience as an Interventional GI Lab Technician.
• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Visual color acuity screening depending on role in specific units.

Responsibilities

• Assist the physician and provide direct care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Assist physicians with complicated interventional GI cases for optimal outcomes.
• Support department operations including schedule development, MD preference card management, and maintenance of supplies and equipment.

REQUIRED

3. One (1) year of experience as an Interventional GI Lab Technician
4. Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
5. Visual color acuity screening depending on role in specific units.

PREFERRED

1. Two (2) years of experience as an Interventional GI Tech
