Job summary

Ochsner Health is seeking a CT technologist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures, mentor junior staff, and ensure patient safety in a fast-paced clinical setting.

The role requires completion of an approved radiologic technology program, ARRT CT certification or registry eligibility, and a valid state license plus BLS certification. Candidates should be able to work flexible hours and support departmental operations.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved radiologic technology program.
• ARRT certification or registry eligibility with CT.
• Current state license and BLS.
• Ability to operate radiology equipment per protocol.

Responsibilities

• Verifies physician order and procedure for accuracy.
• Uses radiology information systems to facilitate care.
• Explains procedure to patient to ensure understanding.
• Operates imaging equipment to complete procedures per protocol.
• Reviews images for diagnostic quality before transmission.
• Performs quality control and maintains regulatory compliance.
• Assists in departmental operations (inventory, scheduling, maintenance).
• Adapts communication and approach to patient needs and privacy.
