Job summary

LCMC Health in New Orleans seeks a Vascular X-ray Technologist Associate to provide patient care during x-ray diagnostic and therapeutic angiography procedures. The role requires operating imaging and monitoring equipment per safety and departmental protocols, with emphasis on ALARA practices and accurate dosimetry.

Responsibilities include performing injections, maintaining equipment and logs, and coordinating with the Cardiology team and scheduling desk to ensure patient safety and workflow

Qualifications

• Experience or training as Radiology Tech, Cath Lab Tech, Radiology Special Procedures tech, or Interventional Radiology Experience.
• Maintains current LSRT and ARRT licenses; CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Operate x-ray and angiography equipment per departmental protocols; ensure ALARA radiation safety.
• Label and mark digital films correctly; scrub circulating and monitor hemodynamics.
• Coordinate with Departmental Director to ensure workload coverage and patient comfort.
• Maintain equipment, supplies, and patient exam billing forms.
• Perform duties per policy; uphold safety and quality standards in the Cath Lab.

Louisiana State Radiologic Technology Board - Radiology Technician Certification

Basic Life Support (BLS) - HeartSaver & First Aid

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Radiography Certification - ARRT
