Job summary

Qualifications

• CA Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) required.
• BLS certification required.
• Fluoroscopy permit within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• Cath Lab experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians in diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures.
• Monitor patient and operate hemodynamic system for data acquisition.
• Maintain accurate records of procedures and related materials.
• Demonstrate sterile technique and ensure compliance with policy.
• Select and acquire imaging; send to PACS; assist in viewing images.
• Generate preliminary cath report for reading physician.
• Ensure hemostasis at puncture site.
• Continue education through seminars and in-service programs.
• Adhere to radiation safety standards and inspect equipment for hazards.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and keep the work area orderly.
